Chris Stevenson

Chris has over 11 years experience in nonprofit management. Previously serving as Director of Development for Cedar Lake Foundation where he assisted in the management of a $16 million foundation and assisted in two multi-million dollar capital campaigns, raising record amounts for two consecutive years before his departure. Chris received his Masters in Business Administration from Sullivan University, graduating Summa Cum Laude, and received his Certificate in Fundraising Management from Indiana University’s Center on Philanthropy.
In addition to his work with Ashley & Associates, Chris is also the Executive Director of Apple Patch Community, Inc., the nation’s first integrated neighborhood designed specifically for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Chris and his team designed and implemented an exciting strategic plan that transformed the nonprofit from a financially struggling group that served only eight people to a $4.2 million business that serves over 120 individuals – all in just four years.
Chris has taught management and marketing classes at Sullivan University for the past eight years and taught “Fundraising: Principles and Practices” at Bellarmine University for three years. The main focus in all of his classes is the importance of long-term strategic planning. “Creating a thorough strategic plan not only keeps everyone on task…” comments Chris, “…but it keeps the passion for the organization’s mission and vision alive!”
